The emails appear to be genuine alerts from Microsoft Azure Monitor. They come from a legitimate Microsoft domain, arrive in inboxes without raising suspicion, and often bypass traditional email security checks.

It tracks events, identifies issues, and sends alerts when something requires attention. For organisations using Microsoft Azure, receiving notifications from Azure Monitor is a normal part of day-to-day operations.

That familiarity is exactly what makes these scam emails so effective.

How the Scam Works
